Water & Sewer Service Lines
By District policy, water and sewer connections from the house to the main in the street or easement are the responsibility of the property owner. The water service line typically has a shut off (curb stop) in the yard between the house and the street. The curb stop is the responsibility of the homeowner and should be maintained in working order. It can be used in the event the water shut off in the house fails or cannot be accessed. If you do not know where your curb stop is, please call the District's Operations team at 970-262-0217, and we will assist you in locating the curb stop.

Currently the District uses smart meters to meter water usage, and bills on a tiered rate system to encourage using less water. We also suggest the following voluntary water restrictions:
- Outside usage is not encouraged on Mondays
- The water days for properties whose street address ends in an odd number are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
- The water days for properties whose street address ends in an even number, including 0, are Wednesdays, Friday and Sunday.
- Outside usage is not encouraged between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
- Make sure your sprinkler is only watering your lawn. DO NOT water the gutter or road.
- Never run an open hose, always use a nozzle with a shut-off.
- Hand watering, using either a watering can or a hose with a shut off nozzle is ALLOWED at any time (no restrictions to days or time).
- Do not overwater your lawn. To test if your lawn is adequately watered step on your grass, if it springs back up when you move your foot, it does not need water.
